The Art of Good Songwriting with Julian Marshall
11.00am until 4.00pm – Music Room, Gresham’s School – max 12 people
This week long course includes the vital ingredients of songwriting, feedback on both the song and the performance as well as coaching on how to most effectively practise the songwriting skills. Participants must be prepared to engage in the art of songwriting and to perform their song in the class. This five day course is for all those who want to learn about and develop their songwriting and performance skills. If you enjoy songwriting and need help, come along and benefit from the man who has been described as the ‘songwriting tutor from heaven’. There are only twelve places on the course, so don’t delay in booking your place! An informal concert will take place in the Auden Foyer at the end of the course.
Known internationally as co-creator (with Kit Hain) of the hit 70’s group Marshall Hain and a member of the band Flying Lizards, Julian Marshall’s talents have crossed the musical spectrum during his long and successful career. Composition is his first love, which now assumes a central position in his creative life.
