Literature in 3D for Adults – The Festival Rep
4.00pm – The Holt Bookshop, Appleyard
3D is the buzzword of the year, but never fear, our version of the new technology has nothing to do with football and funny glasses! As part of our literary programme, The Festival Rep will celebrate the anniversaries of authors as disparate as Joyce Grenfell and Leo Tolstoy. Being actors, our repertory company will not be content to merely read the chosen book extracts, they will bring them to life in a three dimensional fashion. Perhaps not as exciting as the World Cup, but certainly more so than ‘A Book at Bedtime’.

Storytelling for Children
Monday to Friday – 10.30am–11.00am – The Holt Bookshop, Appleyard

Especially for the under sevens, experienced storytellers will delight and engage with tall tales of magic adventures. Amongst the storytellers this year is Kelvin I Jones who has been a storyteller for many years. Kelvin, who is also a writer of crime novels and tales of the supernatural, will this year be telling tales from the famous brothers Grimm.
