Several of the Holt galleries have taken on a truly festival feel this year by holding special exhibitions. Take time to follow the Gallery Trail around Holt and discover a fabulous range of Fine Art. Internationally acclaimed Swedish glass designer Kjell Engman has created an exhibition of illuminated guitars, violins and other glass sculptures to coincide with the musical theme of the Festival. Also the Gallery will also be showing its first major exhibition of works by the ever popular Australian artist Rolf Harris.

Irish born Max Tannahill lives and works in the coastal village of Wivenhoe in Essex and carves his unique creatures and fish from the driftwood in the surrounding estuaries, making use of the grain and natural colour of the wood.

Young Suffolk based artist Naomi Munuo’s figurative and still life works mostly involve layered collage incorporating elements of wax resist, batik, ink, oil pastels and acrylic. She has exhibited at the Royal Academy, elsewhere in London and Art Fusion-Miami.

Throughout Festival week and until Saturday 14th August, BBC Springwatch presenter Chris Packham, will be staging a special exhibition at The Photographers’ Gallery of his distinctive work from around the world featuring people, places and wildlife. In addition, the region’s leading fine art photography gallery will be showing an eclectic mix of work by award winning photographers David Tipling, Andrew Midgley, Roger Griffiths and guests.
